Proactive maintenance program minimizes manufacturing interruptions.


Challenge – With multiple fixtures and gauges from multiple suppliers in use 24×7, this Tier-1 automotive supplier didn’t have time for quality inspections or production to halt due to non-functioning inspection equipment.

Solution – Component Engineering created a personalized, proactive service program, assessing overall health of all fixtures and gauges, providing assessment of what maintenance was needed, and executing repair and maintenance of their entire portfolio. In addition, the program included not only fixtures and gauges purchase from Component Engineering, but all fixtures and gauges in use, regardless of the manufacturer.

Outcomes and Benefits – The program ensured that the automotive supplier captured accurate measurements, identified potential and real defects, maintained quality outputs, reduced production down-time, and built trust in equipment reliability.
